With the absence of Humane Officer Sue Baker, all animal services within the city of Plattsmouth were temporarily placed on hold. The Plattsmouth Police Department has recently contracted with the Nebraska Humane Society to assist in continuing animal related services through the city until Sue Baker is able to resume her normal duties.
The public is asked to contact the police department with any animal related issues, and assistance will be provided at that time. The humane society will not respond or assist with any calls directly received from individuals within the city limits of Plattsmouth.

Licensing Your Pet
Licensing for 2015 has started. All dogs and cats that reside within the City limits are required to be licensed by the City.
Fees: spayed/neutered pets: $11.00unspayed/unneutered pets: $26.00
Please bring a copy of your pet's current rabies vaccination to the Plattsmouth Police Department, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 402-298-8235 or Amy at 402-296-9355.
All adoptions are currently being handled by Happy Paws CAAN (Companion Animal Advocacy Network).
